The CKINSTO Current Temperature Rise Test Apparatus is designed to meet stringent international safety and performance standards, including UL 486 A-B and IEC 60884, making it suitable for comprehensive testing of electrical components like lugs and terminals. Specifically, IEC 60884-1 (Section 19) requires temperature rise testing for terminals and contacts. The test is typically conducted at the rated current of the device. For instance, IEC 60320-1 (a similar standard for appliance couplers) requires testing at 1.25 times the rated current for 1 hour, with the temperature rise of terminals and contacts not exceeding 45K (Kelvin). The standard also specifies that plugs and sockets are suitable for use in ambient temperatures not normally exceeding +40°C, with an average over 24 hours not exceeding +35°C, and a lower limit of -5°C. It also includes provisions for accessories used in temperatures ranging from -45°C to +70°C. The CKINSTO apparatus's ability to apply controlled currents and precisely measure temperature changes across multiple points makes it ideal for verifying that lugs and terminals meet the temperature rise requirements stipulated by IEC 60884. Testing Lugs and Terminals: The CKINSTO Current Temperature Rise Test Apparatus is explicitly designed to perform temperature rise tests on various electrical components, including those found in low voltage switchgear, power cables, connectors, plugs, and sockets. Lugs and terminals, being fundamental components for electrical connections, fall directly within the scope of this apparatus's capabilities. The system's features, such as the large current generator, multi-channel temperature sensors (e.g., K-type thermocouples), and real-time data acquisition, enable it to accurately simulate operational loads and monitor the thermal performance of these critical connection points in accordance with both UL 486 A-B and IEC 60884 standards. This ensures the safety and reliability of the electrical connections under various operating conditions
