Solar Charge Controller is an electronic device that manages the power going into the battery bank from the solar array. It ensures that the deep cycle batteries are not overcharged during the day and that the power doesn't run back to the solar panels overnight and drain the batteries.A solar charge controller is used to keep the battery from overcharging by regulating the voltage and current coming from the solar panel to the battery. It is programmed at 15-A/200-W unit and uses MPPT (maximum power point tracking) to accelerate solar charging of the battery up to 30% per day.Hybrid capability: This charge controller can handle input from both solar panels and wind turbines, eliminating the need for two separate controllers. The controller can also be used as a wind controller or solar controller alone, offering the flexibility to upgrade to a hybrid system at any time.The charge controller regulates the amperage and voltage that is delivered to the loads and any excess power is delivered to the battery system so the batteries maintain their state of charge without getting overcharged. During the evening when there is no sunlight, battery power is used to run the load.A PV charge controller prevents overcharge by reducing the flow of energy to your battery once it reaches a certain voltage. Once the voltage drops when the sun intensity is lower or there is an increase in electrical usage, the controller will allow for the maximum charge possible.
