The "2545" refers to a series of two-stage reciprocating (piston-type) air compressor pumps by Ingersoll-Rand (or simply "2545 pump / compressor"). As a two-stage reciprocating air compressor, the 2545 uses pistons in two successive compression stages to compress air to high pressures. It is typically built with heavy-duty cast-iron construction, including cast-iron crankcase, cylinders, and heads, making it robust and suitable for continuous industrial use. Its design often uses a "V-twin" or "V-block / V-type" configuration (i.e. two cylinders arranged in a V shape), which helps with balance, cooling, and durability. Features: Durable cast-iron, two-stage design offers extended pump life for years of trouble-free service. 175 PSI maximum operating pressure. 100% continuous duty for tough applications. Automatic start/stop control/pressure switch operation. Includes motor starter, oil sight glass (10-15 HP only), manual drain and BS5169 tank.
