Product Description & Key Features Superior Machinability: Rated at 100% machinability, it is the benchmark against which all other copper alloys are measured. The inclusion of lead (approx. 3%) allows for high-speed drilling, milling, and sawing with minimal tool wear. Material Properties: Composed of approximately 61.5% Copper, 35.5% Zinc, and 3% Lead. It offers good electrical and thermal conductivity and is naturally resistant to corrosion, forming a protective "patina" rather than rusting. Applications: Extensively used for precision-machined parts like valves, fittings, fasteners, gears, and electrical components. It is also popular for decorative architectural trim due to its bright gold-like finish. Limitations: It has poor cold-forming capabilities and is not recommended for welding.
