431 Stainless Steel Round Bar is a solid cylindrical bar made from Grade 431 stainless steel, a high-strength, martensitic stainless steel that contains approximately 15–17% chromium and 1.25–2.5% nickel. It is known for its excellent tensile and yield strength, toughness, and moderate corrosion resistance. Unlike other martensitic grades, the nickel content in 431 enhances its toughness and corrosion resistance. This round bar can be hardened by heat treatment, making it suitable for applications requiring high mechanical strength and wear resistance. It is commonly used in aerospace, marine, automotive, and oil & gas industries. Typical applications include pump shafts, valves, bolts, fasteners, marine equipment, and turbine blades.
