Oxidation Resistance: It forms a protective oxide layer when exposed to air, which prevents further oxidation and corrosion, allowing it to withstand high temperatures without degrading. Durability: It retains its shape and mechanical strength even when subjected to repeated heating and cooling cycles. High Melting Point: Nichrome can operate at temperatures as high as 1,200°C (2,200°F), depending on the grade.
