The auxiliary relays P8n and PN8n are instantaneous, auxiliary plunger type relay with 7 double interruption contacts. They are used in installations where high degree of reliability and high contact rating are stipulated with minimal internal consumption. They act as instantaneous switching element, providing galvanic separation and contact multiplication in tripping and signaling circuits of protective relays.The P8n relay is designed for high speed operation. It has an operation indicator which pops out when the contact system picks up and relay latches. The operation indication can be reset manually. Other variant without operation indication can also be selected based on order code.The PN8n relay is specially designed for minimum drop out of approximately 20% of rated voltage. The relay is available with operation indication which pops out when the contact system drops off.
