The acid gases react with the alkaline solution, forming neutral salts and water vapor. Components: Key components of an acid fume neutralization scrubber system include the gas inlet, scrubbing chamber, spray nozzles, reagent injection system, mist eliminator, exhaust stack, and control system. Materials: Scrubbers are typically constructed using corrosion-resistant materials, such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE), fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP), or lined steel, to withstand the corrosive nature of acid fumes.
