An air dryer is a system or piece of equipment that is used to remove moisture present in the air, particularly compressed air. They are important to maintain reliable operation of downstream equipment. The dew point temperature is the temperature at which the air becomes saturated with water vapor. Warm, moist air enters the air dryer. It is rapidly cooled to a temperature slightly above freezing in a refrigeration unit. The water vapor condenses into liquid water. The water is collected in a trap and emitted through discharge lines.By drying our clothes outside we keep them fresh and well aired. This avoids moisture being trapped in the fibres encouraging musty smells that are always unpleasant.
