Key Characteristics: Purity: Contains at least 99% aluminum, making it one of the purest aluminum alloys. Conductivity: High electrical and thermal conductivity, second only to pure copper. Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to general and stress corrosion. Formability: Very ductile, soft, and easy to form, bend, draw, and stamp. Weldability: Good welding characteristics, often used as a filler metal (ER1100). Strength: Low mechanical strength, but can be strengthened through cold working. Appearance: Anodizes to a bright, light golden finish, suitable for decorative uses. Common Applications: Electrical conductors (due to high conductivity). Welding filler wire (MIG/TIG).
