The FCP4 Drill Production Grinder manufactures a complete HSS commodity drill on a single machine. From a HSS cylindrical blank, the FCP4 grinds the Flute, Relief and Point to produce a finished drill. Designed for drills up to a 6mm diameter, the multi spindle machine provides simultaneous grinding operations to produce a complete drill every 20 to 25 seconds (size dependant).The machine features 8 fully controlled CNC axis, which provides greater flexibility, control and quicker setup times over traditional CAM operated machinery. The benefits of CNC technology and machine design also produce a superior surface finish and size control than what is possible on non-CNC controlled machinery.The FCP4 comes standard with ANCA Motion AM5C Drives, AMI5000 Touchpad (swivel and tilt) and Commander software on the Windows 8 platform. The Commander software allows the operator to enter parameters and features on a new drill quickly and easily. DXF import is available to produce a drill to a specific flute shape in a very short amount of time. The FCP4 comes as standard with CNC dressing as the flute shape is CNC form dressed onto the fluting wheel.The machine also comes as standard with CNC dressing for the relief grinding wheel and single point diamond for the drill point wheelThe four-station turret workhead utilises W10 Schaublin collets, allowing simultaneous grinding of the flute, relief and drill point along with loading and unloading capabilities. This workhead design ensures high productivity when producing drills in large volumes. The FCP4 has a range of options and accessories to suit different diameters within a range of 0.8 to 6mm diameter.
