Product Details
WPM 004 Flex is a two component, cementitious waterproofing compound designed for use in areas where substrates are subjected to movement and crack bridging properties are desired. It has been formulated with advanced acrylic polymer technology to increase its flexibility and water resistance.Features :Flexible: accommodates minor cracks protect the concrete from long term weatheringResists both positive and negative pressureUV stable: Can be left exposedWater based: safe to use, low odour & easy cleaningExcellent bond to concrete, masonry, ceramics and most common substratesSelf primed: No additional primer requiredNon toxic: Can be safely used as internal waterproofing of potable water tanksAllows water vapour to escape from the substrate.Uses :Wet areas & kitchens BalconiesWater tanksAs exposed waterproofing for non accessible roofsRetaining wallsSurface PreparationThe surface to be treated must be dry, clean, structurally sound, free from oil, grease, wax, polish, laitance, dust and other barrier materials. New substrate shall be allowed to cure as per standard procedure.All cracks, construction joints, pipe penetration, bore packing and corners shall be treated prior to application of waterproofing membrane.Mixing :The entire contents of Part A liquid should be thoroughly stirredand poured in a mixing vessel. Add water as per the table shownbelow and mix for one minute. Finally add Part B and mix all thethree materials with spiral mixing paddle in a slow speed drill.Continue until a consistent homogenous mix is achieved. One ormore packs can be mixed simultaneously to ensure a quick rateof installation.Application :Saturate the surface with clean water. Whilst wet, but free ofstanding water, apply WPM 004 using a short, stiff bristle brushor roller. The second coat should be applied at right angle to thefirst coat after the previous coat has completely dried.Storage And Shelf LifeWPM 004 has a shelf life of 12 months if kept in a dry, clean store between 5 Degree C and 30 Degree C in the original unopened containers. The product should be protected from frost, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.Precautions :During mixing and application the following precautions should be observed: ensure adequate ventilation and avoid contact of the material with the eyes, nasal passages, mouth and unprotected skin. Avoid contact with the hands by wearing protective gloves and by using, if necessary, a suitable barriercream. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice and after contact with the skin wash immediately with plenty of soap and water.Prolonged contact with the skin should be avoided, especially where the user has an allergic reaction to resin-based materials.Observe personal hygiene, particularly washing the hands after
