Batch mix plant means a source or affected facility that produces hot mix asphalt by heating and drying the aggregate in a dryer before separating and mixing it with asphalt cement in separate batches.Asphalt mix plants are used to create hot mix asphalt. It mixes aggregates and bitumen to create the hot mix paving material. The aggregates here can be a single-sized material or it can be a blend of various grades/sizes of materials.The main activity of an asphalt mixing plant is that it heats up aggregates and then mixes them with bitumen and other adhesive substances to generate hot mix asphalt.
