Horizontal flow wrappers perform three tasks in one fluid, continuous motion: infeed and spacing of items, wrapping the film around the items, and then sealing and discharging the finished product.Flow wrap packaging machines offer a high speed, automated alternative to traditional bagging practices. Flow Wrap equipment is a perfect packaging solution for products packaging from speeds up to 70 packs per minute.A shrink wrap machine dispenses film which is loosely folded over a product. The film is then heated and forms a tight wrap around the product. The range of equipment available starts with a set-up of manually-fed film used with a hand-held heat gun.Flow wrap machine tends to have an infeed conveyor, a forming area, a fil feed assembly, a discharge area, and a cutting head all of which ensure system efficiency.Flow wrapping provides an airtight seal, better use of packaging material, and easy size adjustments.The flow wrapping process wraps a product in a clear or printed Polyolefin, Polypropylene or laminate film, forming a 3-sided seal package to produce a light and flexible package.There are three fluid flow regimes: laminar, turbulent, and a transition region. The conditions that lead to each type of flow behavior are system-specific.The primary purpose of packaging is to protect its contents from any damage that could happen during transport, handling and storage. Packaging retains the product intact throughout its logistics chain from manufacturer to the end user. It protects the product from humidity, light, heat and other external factors.
