Instead of using one metal to make a coin, multiple kinds of metal are pressed together into layers. This is called a “clad” coin.The gold bullion coins are available in four sizes: one ounce, one-half ounce, one-quarter ounce, and one-tenth ounce. The silver, platinum, and palladium bullion coins are available in the one ounce size.
