The antique fabric used to make these bags was embroidered by women in the late 19th and early 20th century. The ladies that intricately embroidered these fabrics, would do so to decorate their wedding bed. It would often take them months to a year, to complete one full bed cover/blanket, making them ready for their wedding day. We couldn't date the antique blanket we were able to find, but were delighted with the few unique large totes we made out of it.Since the few bags we have in this style are made from a large antique bed cover, each piece will be different (and not identical to the pictures provided) as the full sheet was embroidered by hand. The colour scheme and pattern will stay similar, although some patches may look more faded than others. Each bag's intricate embroidery is unique and composition is one of a kind.
