Power pallet trucks, also known as electric pallet trucks or powered pallet jacks are power-driven to allow lifting and moving of heavier and stacked pallets over longer distances. Power pallet trucks are used essentially for horizontal movement of pallet-loads which makes them ideal for large spaces and warehouses. Pallet trucks are mainly used in the warehouse environment to move pallets from one area to another. They can move pallets from the storage area or warehouse to a waiting lorry with ease. They are able to lift pallets to a certain height and can lift multiple pallets at any one time A pallet truck (also known as a pump truck or pallet jack) is a wheeled trolley designed to lift and transport pallets. The truck's tapered forks slot underneath the pallet and the pump handle can then be used to raise and lower the load. In the US, OSHA doesn't require or have a standard certification but instead asks companies using electric pallet trucks to have a certification program in place for its workers. The individual certification will come upon completion of the course
