Product Details
A circular device for cutting out biscuits from rolled dough.Pat or roll dough on lightly floured surface to an even thickness (usually about 1/2-inch thick). With floured biscuit cutter, cut out biscuits - keeping cuts close together. When cutting, use a straight downward motion and avoid twisting the cutter as biscuits may rise unevenly.Simply place the cup or glass upside-down on a cutting board, and then use a sharp knife to cut around the edge. You'll end up with perfectly round biscuits that are ready to be baked. Best of all, there's no need to go out and buy a special biscuit cutter.Rolled Biscuits are mixed using the Biscuit Method, and as a result are flaky and layered. These rely on fat for shortening power, and on just the right amount of kneading for gluten formation. After mixing the dough, it is quickly kneaded, rolled out and biscuits are cut from the dough with a biscuit or cookie cutter.
