Product Details
The Raytools 37×7 15 kW protective window is a precision optical protective lens made from high-quality fused silica that is specifically engineered for high-power fiber laser cutting heads. It has a 37 mm diameter and 7 mm thickness and is designed to handle laser beams with power up to around 15 kW, typically at the fiber laser wavelength around 1064 nm. This protective window features anti-reflective (AR) coatings on both sides that help maximize laser transmission while minimizing reflections and heat buildup, and its durable fused silica material offers excellent thermal stability and resistance to laser-induced damage. The lens sits at the front of the laser cutting head and serves to shield the internal optical components — like the collimating and focusing lenses — from metal spatter, dust, and molten debris during cutting, which helps maintain cutting quality and prolong the life of expensive internal optics. Because it is a consumable part that wears down over time from exposure to harsh cutting environments, this protective window is regularly replaced as part of maintenance for high-power laser cutting systems.
