For non tapered holes, the cutting tool moves parallel to the axis of rotation.boring machine, device for producing smooth and accurate holes in a workpiece by enlarging existing holes with a bore, which may bear a single cutting tip of steel, cemented carbide, or diamond or may be a small grinding wheel.Single-point tools are attached to a rotating spindle within a boring head. These move in circles around the edges of the existing holes. By adjusting the boring head, you can control the tool sweeping around the diameter of the hole.
