Product Description
An anesthesia machine is a pneumatic device that supplies a mixture of oxygen, gas, and anesthetic agent to a patient, allowing them to remain unconscious, but breathing, during surgery.Anaesthetics are used during tests and surgical operations to numb sensation in certain areas of the body or induce sleep. This prevents pain and discomfort, and enables a wide range of medical procedures to be carried out.Anaesthesia is a reversible state of pharmacologically controlled sleep with reduction in cortical activity. At sufficient anaesthetic depth there is absence of conscious awareness and recall, and no sensory, motor or autonomic response to stimulation.
