The valve operates with a disc fixed through a stem in the body of the valve.Operation of a CI butterfly valve:Butterfly valves, like any other control valves uses an obstruction component.. In this type of valve, a disc is used which is operate with a lever, gear, or actuator on top. This disc is attached to the upper control with a stem which goes from the center of the disc.
