Calcium Chloride Dihydrate is an inorganic salt with the formula CaCl2·2H2O. It has a high level of purity and exists in versions that meet requirements for food and medicine. The material is available in the form of flakes, powder or granules. Bluecosmo Corevia produces this substance in India. When a person mixes it with water, it dissolves quickly plus the temperature of the liquid increases. Because it absorbs water from the air easily, a person must keep it in an environment that is not warm or humid. To prevent it from absorbing moisture, the containers must remain closed. It is available in forms that contain no water or two water molecules. For transport it is placed in drums, bags made of high density polyethylene or large sacks.
