Car Parking Tensile Structure, Polished, has a steel frame that is first cleaned and then painted - the paint hardens against rust and sun damage. A single sheet of waterproof PVC-coated polyester fabric stretches over the frame plus blocks sun, rain, dust and bird droppings. The fabric rests on a dome shaped skeleton of tubes that bolt together in sections - the bay length grows or shrinks by adding or removing frames. The pieces arrive pre-drilled - one team uses common wrenches to join them on site. The fabric and frame come in white, which reflects heat and matches modern buildings. The entire roof weighs less than a tiled roof of the same size - yet it bears wind gusts but also snow loads without sagging. After installation, the owner rinses the fabric with a hose twice a year and checks the bolts for tightness - no other routine work is required. The structure shields private cars, fleet vehicles or customer parking while giving the lot a clean, uniform look. Factories test each steel batch for strength as well as each fabric roll for tear resistance before shipment - the finished canopy performs in coastal salt air, desert heat or city snow equally well.
