This type of conveyor is driven by a motor connected to a chain. The chain runs along a set of rollers, each fitted with sprockets. This connection of sprocketed roller, to chain and to motor, is the driving force of the conveyor.In particular, conveyor chains distribute speed and torque by means of linked chain and sprockets. Conveyor chains are well suitable for this task as the sprocket's teeth engage with the roller chain enabling them to transmit large amounts of torque without loss of energy.
