Cold room (also called a cool room, chiller room) is a walk-in storage facility in a controlled condition to keep a consistent temperature between 2°C to 12°C., it is widely used to preserve the quality of stored products like fruit, vegetables, beverages, flowers, medicine, cheese, eggs, and other fresh foods.Chiller cold rooms maintain positive temperatures of between +0 to +8 degrees, making them ideal for keeping produce fresh or storing products which need to be chilled.Essentially, a cold room is a walk-in facility which controls its internal temperature using refrigerants. This is exactly the same as a domestic refrigerator, except on a larger scale. These rooms can be used to maintain temperatures either above or below freezing, depending on the type of storage required.
