Product Details
An RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) is a sensor whose resistance changes as its temperature changes. The resistance increases as the temperature of the sensor increases. The resistance vs temperature relationship is well known and is repeatable over time. An RTD is a passive device. It does not produce an output on its own. External electronic devices are used to measure the resistance of the sensor by passing a small electrical current through the sensor to generate a voltage. Typically 1 mA or less measuring current, 5 mA maximum without the risk of self-heating. Lengths upto 50 meters -50 to 400°C range Termination : Aluminium head with threaded cap and chain Different types of terminal heads are available 1/2"BSP (F) single cable entry with single compression gland Dual entries and glands are optional SS316 sheath material Elements are terminated into nickel plated brass terminals mounted on high purity ceramic terminal block mounted on spring loaded stainless steel disc Spring loading protects ceramic terminal block from damage due to impact and vibrations. It ensures proper contact at the hot end inside the thermowell in thermocouple-thermowell assemblies
