Cobalt welding electrodes are hardfacing electrodes used to apply a protective, wear-resistant layer of a cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy onto metal parts. They are engineered to resist metal-to-metal wear, galling, corrosion, and thermal shock, making them ideal for high-temperature applications where parts experience extreme mechanical and thermal stress. The resulting deposit contains chromium carbides, providing hardness that is retained at elevated temperatures.
