An industrial chiller is a refrigeration system used to lower the temperature of machinery, industrial spaces, and process fluids by removing heat from the system and transferring it elsewhere. When cooling a large building such as a commercial business facility, chilled water can be used to remove heat from the air. Chillers are equipment that generate the chilled water used in the air conditioning process.While HVAC systems are responsible for regulating the comfort levels of most indoor environments, a chiller plant act as a centralized cooling system which provides cooling for a building or a number of buildings. Additionally, it provides a portion of the air conditioning by HVAC systemsChillers operate on the principle of compression or absorption of a vapor. They are designed to provide a continuous flow of coolant to maintain a preset temperature. As the diagram shows, they are a continually circulating system of fluid that lowers the temperature by reducing heat.Chiller systems are installed in commercial buildings to achieve proper temperature control.
