The Complete Transparent Flat Bottom Weld Test Box is a high-performance non-destructive testing (NDT) instrument designed for bubble leak testing of butt welds on flat surfaces. Engineered for precision, portability, and operator convenience, this test box allows accurate detection of micro-leaks and discontinuities in weld seams of tanks, pipelines, pressure vessels, and plate structures.
Fabricated entirely from optically clear, high-strength acrylic or polycarbonate, the transparent body ensures 360° visibility during testing, enabling inspectors to easily observe bubble formation at any angle. The flat-bottom sealing design ensures uniform vacuum distribution and reliable sealing contact on flat surfaces, guaranteeing repeatable and accurate results.
An integrated battery-powered LED illumination system provides consistent lighting inside the box for enhanced visibility during testing, even in dimly lit workshops, tanks, or field environments. The LED system is rechargeable and designed for extended operating hours with a built-in battery backup for field applications.
The box operates on the bubble leak testing principle — where a soap or surfactant solution is applied to the weld surface, and a vacuum is created inside the box. Any leakage path in the weld allows air to escape, forming visible bubbles, immediately pinpointing the leak location.
