Product Details
Used to measure the thickness of concrete cover over steel reinforcement bars and metal pipes, furthermore it is also used to identify the location, orientation and diameter of reinforcement bars (rebar). The basic unit can be completed with a number of optional probes for various determination. See accessories.
Description:
The Bartracker, which use the Pulse induction technique, features a rugged waterproof IP 65 case with a probe storage for easy portability. The battery pack can be recharged inside or outside the gauge. The display screen shows you everything you need to know.
The gauge is supplied complete with:
- Main unit
- Standard search head to meet most of measurement requirements to identify 40 mm dia. bar up to 95 mm depth (approx.), 8 mm dia. bar up to 70 mm depth (approx.), sensing area 120x60 mm.

The cover meter can help to confirm the depth of the concrete, the location and orientation of reinforcement bar (rebar) or metal pipe and can even determine the diameter of the rebar. Using state of the art electronics “Elcometer 331 Concrete Cover Meter” designed to meet IP65 is rugged waterproof, easy to use, quickly and accurately locates, orientates and measures the depth of cover over reinforcement bars in the harshest of environments. A well-integrated service support is provided from service centre with team of trained customer support group headed by a Service Manager, who double up for technical & application support to our customers.
Uses of Concrete Cover Meter :
Reinforcement depth measurement Bar size can be preset if known, or detected automatically for survey and investigation tasks. For non-standard bar sizes, large diameter pipes or other pre-fabricated items, it can also show absolute measurements that can be used to look up cover using custom tables. For immediate results on-site, the onscreen gauge and audio feedback rapidly pin-point re bar location and orientation. Meets or exceeds the requirements of B S 1881 part 204 over the full range of the instrument Cover range 5 mm – 185 mm.
