Working Principle Place cement, sand, coarse aggregate, and water into the mixer drum. For hand mixers, rotate the handle; for electric mixers, switch on the motor. Mixing continues until a uniform, homogeneous concrete mix is obtained (usually 2–5 minutes depending on mix). Discharge the concrete through the tilting drum or discharge gate.
