he Polycab RS-485 2 Pair 0.5 sq.mm Armoured FRLS Cable is a specialized communication cable designed for Modbus data transmission in industrial environments. It provides high-speed data reliability with protection against mechanical stress and fire hazards. Technical Specifications Configuration: 2 Pair (4 Cores twisted into two pairs). Conductor: 0.5 sq.mm (approx. 20 AWG) stranded annealed tinned copper. Insulation: High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE). Shielding (Double Shielded): Primary: Overall Al-Mylar tape with a 0.5 sq.mm ATC drain wire. Secondary: Annealed tinned copper wire braid with 60% coverage. Armouring: Galvanised Steel (GI) round wire for mechanical protection. Outer Sheath: FRLS (Flame Retardant Low Smoke) PVC ST1, typically grey or black. Electricals: 120 characteristic impedance; 300V/500V voltage grade
