Transfer and Cross Conveyors are employed to accumulate, feed, and discharge material. They comprise a series of arms with a large powered chain linked to a common drive shaft that conveys the material laterally. The chains carry loads in a continuous and sequential flow.Crossing conveyors are a group of horizontal transport devices used mainly to change the direction of load motion perpendicularly or the height of the working transport line. Two types of devices are used for that purpose: roller conveyors and chain conveyors which cross with one another.How do conveyor systems work.
