Description: DECOMP Denitrification is a specially developed microbial culture designed for the biological denitrification of ammoniacal nitrogen in industrial effluents and condensates. Denitrification is one of the most effective biological processes for removing ammoniacal nitrogen. It typically follows nitrification, where ammoniacal nitrogen is first oxidized into nitrites and nitrates. Denitrification is the biological reduction of Nitrates (NO₃⁻) into Nitrogen gas (N₂), which is then harmlessly released into the atmosphere. Denitrification proceeds through a series of intermediate Forms: NO3 NO2 NO N2O N2 Benefits of DECOMP Denitrification: Efficiently converts nitrates to nitrogen gas. Reduces nitrogen-based pollution in treated water. Helps in reducing the foul odour of ammonia. Minimizes chemical dosing requirement. Eco-friendly and easy-to-apply biological solution. Enhances overall performance of ETP/CPU systems. Application Area: Anoxic Tank Holding Tank How To Use: A small quantity of culture is to be added in the holding tank, where nitrified effluent is intermittently stored. Dosage may vary depending on site specific parameters and effluent characteristics.
