Transformer oils are designed to operate effectively at very high temperatures, cooling, insulating, and stopping corona discharges and arcing.Oil-filled or oil-immersed transformers are voltage conversion devices that use oil to keep the transformer cool. This type of transformer structure is mounted in a welded steel oil tank filled with oil.An Oil Immersed Transformer involves the oil cooling method to reduce its temperature. Its body is connected to the welded steel oil tank, which is full of insulation oil. These transformers work because the heat of the coil and iron core is transferred into the insulation oil.
