The Draft Tube and Baffle Type (DTB) Crystallizer, is an elaborated mixed suspension mixed product removal design, which is suited for vacuum cooling and for processes having a moderate evaporation rate. Since almost heat make-up is required, the arrangement is compact and hence initial investment is minimized. A crystallizer is a processing device used to concentrate feed into stable crystals and clean water. A solid-liquid separation technique in which solid crystals are produced from a liquid solution is known as crystallization. Crystallizers can remove liquid wastes completely, resulting in zero liquid discharge (ZLD).
