A drill sleeve, also known as a reduction sleeve, is a tapered, hollow steel shaft that fits the tapered shank of a cutting tool to adapt it to a drill press spindle. Drill sleeves are used when the drill shank is smaller than the machine spindle hole. They can also be used to extend the length of the drill and change the taper of the connective arbors.Drill Sleeves: Drill sleeve.
