Process to Apply a Drum Seal on an Open-Top DrumStep-by-Step Application ProcessStep 1: Close the Drum Lid Place the lid properly on the open-top drum. Ensure the lid is fully seated and aligned. Step 2: Lock the Drum Ring / Clamp Tighten the metal ring or clamp around the drum lid. Ensure it is secure and properly fastened. Step 3: Insert the Drum Seal Locate the seal holes on the drum ring or clamp. Pass the seal tail through the locking holes. Step 4: Lock the Seal Pull the seal tail firmly until it locks. Ensure the seal is tight and cannot be pulled back. Step 5: Record Seal Number Note the unique seal number on: Delivery challan Invoice Transport documents This helps verify integrity at the destination. Seal Removal at Destination The receiver checks the seal number. If correct and intact, the seal is cut and removed. A broken or mismatched seal indicates possible tampering.
