The DUNGS MB-DLE series is the standard "GasMultiBloc" for single-stage gas burners. It is a multifunctional power-house that combines all the necessary safety and regulation components of a gas train into one compact, modular unit. The "LE" in the name is the defining feature: it stands for Slow Opening (with an adjustable Fast Stroke), which is essential for achieving a "soft start" during burner ignition. 1. Integrated Components Instead of piping five different parts together, the MB-DLE includes: Fine-Mesh Sieve: An internal 0.8 mm filter to trap debris. Pressure Regulator: Stabilizes the gas pressure to the burner manifold. Safety Valve 1 (V1): Fast-opening/fast-closing shut-off valve. Safety Valve 2 (V2): Slow-opening/fast-closing shut-off valve (contains the hydraulic brake). 2. Functional Adjustments The MB-DLE is highly tunable to ensure the burner lights smoothly without "booming" or flame lift-off. Adjustment Component Function Pressure Regulator Regulator Screw Sets the operating gas pressure (e.g., the S20 range is 4–20 mbar). Main Volume Adjustment Nut Limits the maximum amount of gas the valve can pass when fully open. Fast Stroke Internal Screw Sets the initial "jump" of gas (the first 10%–20%) for the spark to catch. Opening Time Hydraulic Brake Sets the "ramp speed" (up to 20 seconds) for the valve to reach full flow. 3. Common Series Sizes The number following "MB-DLE" indicates the physical size and flow capacity of the unit: 403 / 405 / 407: Small units (typically Rp 1/2" or Rp 3/4" flanges). 410 / 412: Medium units (typically Rp 3/4" to Rp 1-1/4" flanges). 415 / 420: Large units (typically Rp 1-1/2" to Rp 2" flanges). 425: Extra-large unit (DN 65 flanged connection). 4. Technical Specifications Max Operating Pressure: 360 mbar (Standard) or 500 mbar (High pressure). Protection Rating: IP54 (Dust and splash protected). Closing Time: Less than 1 second (Safety shutdown). Duty Cycle: 100% (Can stay energized indefinitely). Voltage: 230V AC, 120V AC, or 24V DC versions available. 5. Troubleshooting & Maintenance Dirty Filter: If the burner is "starving" for gas or the pressure drops significantly when the burner fires, the internal sieve is likely clogged. Hydraulic Brake Failure: If the valve snaps open instantly rather than slowly ramping up, the hydraulic brake on top of V2 has failed and needs replacement. Solenoid Coil: If the valve doesn't open at all but has power, the coil may be burnt out. You can replace the coil without removing the valve from the gas pipe.
