Product Details
Socket welding (SW) is used for welding pipes and fittings including reducers, tees and elbows. Socket weld pipe fittings are used to permanently join pipes that are inserted into a recess in the fitting, flange or valve. Once correctly inserted, fillet type sealing welds are applied to join the pipe to the fitting. 2205 duplex stainless steel fittings are renowned for having austenitic and ferritic microstructures. They display the properties of both classes. Improved localized corrosion resistance is displayed by ASME SA815 Duplex Steel Butt Weld Pipe Fittings when compared to 316 and 317 grades.
