The E-RICKSHAW is an electric vehicle made with a mild steel body and a hard top fiber or ABS plastic roof. This provides durability and resists weather. It has seating for four passengers plus the driver. The vehicle carries up to 400 kg. This makes it suitable for transport needs in cities plus areas near cities. Four 12V/105Ah lead acid batteries make up a 48V system and supply power. A full charge gives a maximum range of 80 - 110 km. This helps operations each day. The vehicle uses a 48V brushless DC motor (1000W to 1320W) and a 24-tube controller. These give performance plus smooth driving. Charging happens with a standard 220V AC input. A full charge requires 6 - 10 hours. Drum brakes hydraulic or telescopic front shock absorbers as well as a leaf spring rear suspension add to safety and comfort. In addition the e-rickshaw has both forward and reverse drive options. A handlebar steering system plus a ground clearance of 180 - 190 mm help with driving on different roads.
