Edge banding glue
DESCRIPTION
TERMOKOL 2015 is a hot melt adhesive for automatic edge banding machines.
APPLICATION
The glue is used for gluing veneer, melamine, polyester, ABS and PVC edges.
TECHNICAL DATA
Type EVA copolymer
Viscosity at 200°C (ASTM D 3236 test) 60,000 - 80,000 mPa s
Softening point (ASTM E-28, ring and ball test) 98 - 108°C

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Before gluing, the adhesive must reach operating temperature. Lower operating temperatures will result in
unsuccessful gluing, higher temperatures, maintained for some time, cause damage to the glue. At longer
interruptions or deadlocks, it is recommended to lower the operating temperature to 160°C. Because thermostats can give false
temperature, we recommend checking the glue temperature on the roller applicator from time to time. The carrier material must
be dry, dust-free and acclimatized to room temperature (min. 18 °C). Avoid drafts.
To obtain good gluing results, pay attention to the room temperature, the temperature of all
materials and machine manufacturer recommendations. Operating conditions, machine purpose, and type of bonded materials.

CLEANING
Melting tanks should be cleaned at regular intervals. Excessive accumulation of char
materials reduces the overall efficiency of the heaters and worsens heat transfer. To remove glue residues when the pot
is cold, we recommend a mixture of methylene chloride and toluene in a 1:1 ratio.

STORAGE
TERMOKOL 2015 should be stored in closed, original packaging, in a cool and dry place,
at a temperature below +25 °C, away from heat sources. Shelf life when properly stored
glue is at least 3 years.
