What "UL Listed" means The rod complies with UL 467 – Grounding and Bonding Equipment Tested for electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and corrosion resistance Approved for use in electrical grounding systems under codes like the NEC (National Electrical Code) Typical specifications Material: Copper-bonded steel (most common) Solid copper (less common, more expensive) Diameter: 12.7 mm (½") 15.9 mm (⅝") — most widely accepted Length: 2.4 m (8 ft) – standard 3.0 m (10 ft) – where lower resistance is required Copper coating thickness: Usually ≥ 250 microns (UL requirement varies by type)
