Product Details

For routine EEG and neurodiagnostic procedures, EEG Electrode Conductive Paste functions to lower skin impedance. It is a stable material with high viscosity that facilitates signal transmission from cup and rubber electrodes that are not disposable. By using this paste, the user maintains an even level of conductivity during the full examination. In its physical form, the paste is white plus has no scent. It is sticky enough to hold electrodes against the skin so that tests are not stopped for reattachment. To protect the patient, the substance is mild and is used on patients who have sensitive skin or allergies. As it is water soluble, the user removes the paste from the skin with warm water or alcohol. Because of this property, the process does not require harsh chemicals. Because the paste is not a water based gel, it does not dry out or dissolve quickly. On that account it is appropriate for short studies and long monitoring sessions like sleep diagnostics or PSG. It is available in plastic boxes of 225 g or 500 g. If the technician uses standard 10 - 20 montage presets for 32-channel systems, this paste is compatible. On a practical level, it is for use in hospital EEG labs, sleep centers but also portable setups. The product is manufactured in India and has a shelf life of 12 months. With a Ten20 base, it is an affordable option for obtaining EEG recordings that are consistent.
