ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant) is a process design for treating the. industrial waste water for its reuse or safe disposal to the environment. • Influent: Untreated industrial waste water. The principle of operation of ETP is Physico-Chemical treatment followed by Polishing Treatments like –Sand Filtration, Activated Charcoal treatment (Adsorption), Ozonisation (Chemical Oxidation), Ultra Filtration (UF), Reverse Osmosis (RO) and evaporation (If required).Introduction. The effluent treatment facility is installed for biological treatment of the effluents. The effluent bears large amounts of organic matter. The direct discharge of the effluent into the water bodies causes depletion of DO of the water.
