The Counterweight is a cast iron weight attached to the rear part of the forklift. The aim of the counterweight is to counter balance the load that is being lifted. The forklift's power source consists of an internal combustion engine.Widely considered the most common and well-recognised type of forklift truck, the counterbalance, warehouse or yard truck, are suited to both indoor and outdoor usage. As the name suggests these forklifts are weighted at the back to provide a strong and stable footprint to lift and move materials around.The lift handle connects to the pump, which pushes fluid through a tube that leads to hydraulic cylinders.
