The Everest Electromagnetic Flow Meter operates on the principle of Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction to accurately measure the flow rate of conductive fluids. Here's a simplified explanation of its working: Magnetic Field Generation: The flow meter consists of a pipe through which the fluid flows. Inside the pipe, there are two electrodes mounted perpendicular to the direction of the flow. An external power source generates a magnetic field across the pipe. Fluid Flow: As the conductive fluid passes through the pipe, it acts as a conductor and cuts the magnetic field lines. The flow of the fluid generates an electromotive force (EMF) or voltage. Induced Voltage Measurement: The electrodes mounted inside the pipe detect the induced voltage. The magnitude of the voltage is directly proportional to the flow velocity of the fluid. Flow Rate Calculation: The flow meter's electronics analyse the induced voltage and, by knowing the cross-sectional area of the pipe, calculate the flow rate of the fluid using mathematical algorithms. Output Display or Transmission: The calculated flow rate can be displayed on a local indicator or transmitted to a central control system for real-time monitoring and further analysis.
