They are available in standard and high-yield versions, depending on the volume of printing required.The ribbons typically consist of a polyester film with a layer of ink that is applied to the surface of the card during the printing process. The ribbons are loaded into the printer and fed through the print head, which heats up and melts the ink onto the card.
