BENEFITSPRODUCTUSESFAIRFIX TA STD is a high quality adhesion for permanentfixing of ceramic tiles. Used for fixing of insulating &acoustic boards. Used in wet areas like kitchens &bathrooms.DESCRIPTIONSTANDARDAPPLICATION< Prepacked factory controlled ensures consistentquality.< Excellent adhesion - hence can be used tile on tile.< Excellent waterproofing characteristics.< Easy to use.< Good slip resistance.Prepacked Cementitious tile adhesive which ensuresexcellent bond on concrete, plastered and even on ceramicand mosaic tile surfaces. FAIRFIX TA STD ensures perfectwatertightness.FAIRFIX TA STD is a adhesive for the permanent fixing ofceramic tiles both in damp and submerged conditions.FAIRFIX TA STD can also be used for fixing tile on tile.Conforming to BS 5980 Class AA Type 1 and suitability forcontact with potable water as per BS 6920, part 1.Surface Preparation : All surfaces must be sound andthoroughly cleaned before FAIRFIX TA STD is applied. Alltraces of greases or oil must be removed with FMDegreaser. All loose particles of mortar and points must bephysically removed.Surfaces : FAIRFIX TA STD can be applied directly onconcrete, cement screeds, cement, lime mortars andexisting tiles.Mixing : FAIRFIX TA STD should be mixed with water in theratio of 3:1 by volume. Water can be reduced or increasedslightly to increase required consistency. A slow speed drillfitted with a suitable mixing paddle is recommended. Handmixing may be allowed if drill/paddle is not available.Joints : It is recommended that when fixing ceramic tiles, aminimum spacing of 2mm be left around each tile.Finishing : Remove excess adhesive with a damp bothbefore material has set. Joint grouting may be commenced24 hours after tiles have been laid.Cleaning : FAIRFIX TA STD should be removed from tools,quipment and mixers with clean water immediately afteruse cured material can only be removed mechanically.FAIRFIX TA STD is supplied in 25 kg HDPE bag.25 kg of FAIRFIX TA STD will cover 5 to 8m² withrecommended thickness of 3 to 4 mm.FAIRFIX TA STDFAIRFIX TA STD is non-toxic. However, splashes on theskin should be washed well with water and in contact witheye occurs, wash well with water and seek medical advise.PACKING & COVERAGESHELF LIFE & STORAGEHEALTH & SAFETYSPECIFICATIONwill have a shelf life of 24 months inunopened containers when kept in dry conditions at atemperature between 5ºC to 45ºC. Storage at highertemperature or high humidity may reduce shelf life.
